Website SEO Analyzer
The on-page tags a search engine reads first, the images with no alt text, and what robots.txt says. No score out of a hundred: it tells you nothing.
This tool needs JavaScript: the server makes the request, because a browser cannot read another site headers.
One page. This reads the HTML as delivered rather than after JavaScript, which is what a crawler sees first.
This is one of the few tools here that asks the server rather than your browser, because a browser cannot do it. Nothing you put in is stored; the request is rate limited by address and the answer is not cached.
The tags a search engine reads before it decides anything, on one page, with the things that are missing said plainly. No score out of a hundred: that number sells audits and tells you nothing about which line to fix first.
How to use
Put in one page. The home page is a fine place to start and an unrepresentative one to stop: templates differ, and the page that actually needs the work is usually a product or an article.
Example
Page https://example.com/
Status 200
HTML size 84 KB
What a result would show
title Acme — tools for small workshops
title length 38 characters, in the usual range
description missing: search engines will write one from the page
description length missing
Structure
h1 2, and one is the useful number
headings 24 in total
words 680 in the served HTML
links 97, of which 84 internal
Images
total 18
missing alt 4 with no alt attribute at all
empty alt 6 with alt="", which is correct for decoration and wrong for content
Four images with no alt attribute and a missing description: two fixes, both quick, both worth more
than another thousand words of content.
Pitfalls
This reads the HTML as delivered. No JavaScript runs. A page that builds its head in the client looks emptier here than in a browser, and that difference is the finding: it is what a crawler sees before it decides whether rendering is worth the budget.
Title length is a guide, not a rule. Search engines cut on pixel width, not characters, so a title of capitals is cut sooner than one of lowercase. The useful question is whether the important words come first.
A missing meta description is not an error. Search engines write one from the page, often better than a bad one. It matters most where the snippet is the advert: a product page, a landing page.
More than one h1 is legal and usually a mistake. HTML5 allows it; what it costs is the clear “this page is about X” signal, and the outline that screen readers use to navigate.
alt="" is correct for decoration. An empty alt tells a screen reader to skip the image, which is
right for a divider and wrong for a photograph that carries meaning. A missing alt attribute is
different: the reader falls back to the file name.
Word count is not a ranking factor. It is here because a page with 80 words in the served HTML and a lot of content in a browser is a rendering question worth knowing about.
robots.txt is a request, not a wall. Well-behaved crawlers respect it; nothing else has to. A page
you truly do not want indexed needs noindex, and a page blocked in robots.txt cannot even be read to
see that tag.
A page can be perfect here and rank nowhere. On-page tags are the part you control; they are not the part that decides.
Compatibility
Two requests: the page you name, and the site’s robots.txt. No crawl, no sitemap walk, no repeated fetches.
This is one of the handful of tools here that runs on the server, because a browser cannot read another origin’s HTML or its response headers.
The address goes through the same guard as the other server tools: http and https on the standard ports only, the name resolved before use with private and reserved addresses refused, redirects followed by hand with the checks repeated on each hop, and the response capped in size and time. Rate limited to 20 requests a minute per address; nothing is stored.
Structured data is reported as the number of JSON-LD blocks rather than validated: validation is a schema question and Google’s own Rich Results Test is the authority on whether a type qualifies.
